Will my IBAN and account number change?
Yes, they will change. As from
20 February 2023
you will have to use the new IBAN code and the new account number that we will be sending you by post in January 2023.
What happens to incoming bank transfers and to the salary that is credited to my account?
Recurring bank transfers and salary payments will be automatically transferred to your new IBAN code. In any case, we recommend that you start communicating your new IBAN code - valid from 20 February 2023 - to anyone who makes bank transfers in your favor or payments on your behalf (e.g. employer, associations, institutions, tax accountant, CAAF, Revenue Agency).
What happens to the pension that is credited to my account?
If you are beneficiary of an INPS pension, we have already informed the competent authorities of the IBAN change. In any case, we recommend communicating the new IBAN code without delay to the institution responsible for pension crediting if different from INPS. If you are the beneficiary of a foreign pension, we remind you to communicate the new IBAN code along with the new BIC code.
Are there any changes to the bills/utilities/automatic payments debited to my account?
We will automatically transfer them to the new IBAN where this is required by current interbank agreements. Automatic payments that you have authorized (e.g. for utilities such as electricity, gas, etc.) remain valid. Still, we suggest that you communicate the new IBAN to creditors for all authorized direct debits on your account, especially for those that have only recently been authorized and which have not yet been charged to your account. Any recurring bank transfers that you have activated will also be transferred to the new IBAN.
